Dokkaebi are naturally invisible creatures. Thus, not much is known about their appearances. They can, however, be detected by other creatures such as Haxenpaxens.

Haxenpaxen being killed by a Dokkaebi

Dokkaebi can be created by a Mudang using very old magic. They are brought to life using old, abandoned things and menstrual blood. They have shown to be capable of flight and are strong enough to wrestle with a Haxenpaxen. One such creature was able to lift Julia Wicker completely off the ground.

Dokkaebi are tough but can be killed with excessive force or strong Battle Magic. However, they will respawn the next day until the task they are set out to do is completed or called off by their summoner. When a Dokkaebi dies, it dissipates into smoke before disappearing.

Trivia[]

  • Dokkaebi (Korean: 도깨비) are traditional folk creatures from Korean mythology. They are considered nature spirits and are sometimes called "Korean Goblins".
