Dylan is a Hedge Witch based in Modesto and close friend of Whitley. After the Order of the Library of the Neitherlands released enchanted Deweys that began killing Hedges, Dylan and Whitley joined forces after Alice Quinn opened a Junction Box's pipe in Modesto, destroying the local Library branch and going into hiding.

As a Hedge Witch, Dylan's most notable characteristic was his disdain for classically-trained Magicians, who he sees as privileged.

Hedge Magician: Dylan is a skilled Hedge Witch, able to use a limited supply of magic to destroy a Library branch in Modesto.
- Magic Manipulation: Dylan is able to shape and manipulate the energy of the Wellspring to cast spells by writing specific formations with his hands, forming phosphorescent constructs of energy.
