The Far Side of the World is the region located on the underside of Fillory.

History

The Far Side of the World was the original realm of Fillory, described by Calypso as a “wild, distant little planet” before Ember and Umber arrived and turned the world over. When the Old Gods commissioned Calypso to build a prison strong enough to contain their flawed creations, the nymph constructed Castle Blackspire on the Far Side.

Fiona Chatwin was taken to the Far Side by Umber, who showed her a garden where thoughts and feelings from Fillorians exist in the form of flowers. She later shared the story with her siblings, causing her brother Rupert to become jealous that Umber excluded the rest of the Chatwins.
