Poppy Kline, a Brakebills-educated draconologist, traveled to France to meet Amelie, the dragon that resided in the Seine River, and won an egg from her; however, she later lost the egg after fertilizing it with an elixir stolen from the East River Dragon in New York City, who took it after learning it was one of Amelie's.[1]
