High-bound is the captain of the Windswept who gifted the Chatwins a set of magical buttons that allows them to travel to Fillory at will.

Helping Helen and Jane Chatwin[]
High-bound served as captain of the clipper ship Windswept in Fillory with his crew on a journey through the Wandering Desert when they encountered Jane and Helen Chatwin after the pair were brought to the region on a mysterious sand dune blowing over Castle Whitespire to the south. He invited the girls aboard and had his crew look after the sisters during their voyage. At the end of their journey, High-bound left the girls a parting gift: a small, brass-bound oak chest containing five magical buttons that would allow their wearer to travel between Earth and Fillory at will.[1]
