The following is a list of the deleted scenes from the The Magicians television series:
Season One[]
- Henry Fogg arrives outside the Lab, shouting to students to get out of his way before banging on the door.
- Professor March redraws the wards around the campus of Brakebills University.
- March and Pearl Sunderland discuss the Incursion Protocol and the use of more detailed astral countermeasures for the school's defenses. March says they need an extra ward, and Sunderland volunteers to compose it.
Consequences of Advanced Spellcasting
- Eliot Waugh and Quentin Coldwater are waiting in the Joyful Deli shop to enter Marina Andrieski's safehouse when Eliot asks Eugenio how much longer they have to wait. When Eugenio doesn't give them a clear answer, Waugh threatens him with a spell and Eugenio unlocks the door to the safehouse.
- Alice Quinn unloads supplies for Genji's Retreat. Genji tells Alice she'll need to get more because she won't be there to restock. When Alice asks where she's going, Genji tells Alice she has a visitor, revealing that Henry Fogg is waiting in the front room of the house.
- After Genji rejects Eliot and Margo Hanson for mentorship, the two talk about opening their own retreat and share a kiss. The two then realize Genji didn't pick anyone to mentor and wonder why she chose to come, before seeing her and Henry Fogg flirting, realizing they share romantic history.
- Quentin Coldwater and Surendra grow increasingly anxious while trying to solve their sections of the spell during The Trials before Penny Adiyodi tells them to focus. Their booklets then reset, and they have to start over again.
- After astral projecting to copy Alice's answers, Penny is stopped by Margo Hanson, who asks where he was. After searching him, Margo lets him return to his table. Penny tells Quentin and Surendra he destroyed the booklet, knowing he'd be searched, but memorized everything. He tells Quentin to get the spell ready, and that it was actually a spell on how to make whale oil burn longer.
- After learning what the final test of the Trials was, Quentin and Alice walk through the school's campus, noticing the scattered articles of clothing.
- An expanded scene showing Julia Wicker being interrogated by a homicide detective about Hannah's death.
- After performing a prayer to a local harvest goddess, Julia begins writing an apology letter to Quentin.
- Prudence Plover threatens to sew Penny Adiyodi's mouth shut, so he travels away from the house and into a tree, where he falls onto his face.
- Margo Hanson explains her history with Lasaro to Eliot Waugh, explaining that she met him at Encanto Oculto in Ibiza and how he told her he worked with chi. At that moment, the glass door of a wardrobe shatters and Eliot says that was definitely caused by Margo.
- At the Quinn Residence, Daniel Quinn has a fatherly talk with Quentin Coldwater about Alice, explaining that he wants the best for his daughter, and asks if Quentin is able to help her with her anxiety, referring to their sexual relationship.
- In the Neitherlands, Penny Adiyodi meets with Eve and the Neitherlanders and agrees to give them the Magical Buttons under his conditions, and Eve agrees to negotiate his terms.
- In Julia Wicker's Apartment, Kady Orloff-Diaz explains to Julia that the teachers at Brakebills don't believe Magicians should have more power, and that being a Magician should be enough, but Julia argues that the nature of humans is to search for more. The two agree that having more magic would allow them to actually fix problems.
- Under the effects of the Emotion-Suppression Spell, Quentin Coldwater notes that his life is perfect, as he has Brakebills and Alice. Alice then notes that the two aren't completely compatible, but they are good for one another.
- Eliot Waugh is hungover on the effects of the Emotion-Suppression Spell and says they should take a break from learning Battle Magic. Margo Hanson tells him to focus on learning defensive spells.
- Quentin Coldwater is waiting outside of Henry Fogg's office when he arrives and asks if the two can speak. Fogg invites him in.
- In the Library of the Neitherlands, Eliot Waugh speaks with Alice Quinn and tries to explain that he was blacked out when he slept with Quentin Coldwater, but Quinn states that he's still responsible for his actions and expresses that Waugh was one of her only friends before that happened.
Have You Brought Me Little Cakes?
- Margo Hanson talks to Fen about Eliot Waugh. Julia Wicker tells Dint II that Eliot will still marry Fen after they kill The Beast, but Dint demands that Fen be married into royalty first. Margo tells Fen that Eliot has amazing qualities, even if he is a 'star-spangled douche' at times. When Fen asks why Margo hasn't married him, she explains that she's not his type and neither is Fen, but their marriage is a business arrangement. Fen then reveals that her marriage with Eliot would be permanent.
