- "Great mages have wasted their lives trying to get at the root of magic. It is a futile pursuit, not much fun and occasionally quite hazardous. Because the further down you go, the bigger and scalier the turtles get, with sharper and sharper beaks. Until eventually they start looking less like turtles and more like dragons."

History[]
During one of the classes taught by Professor Melanie Van der Weghe, students learned that the Aztecs were some of the most powerful Magicians of all time. They invented Blood Magic and perfected its use, but were convinced that the sun wouldn't rise without their help and thus harnessed the blood of countless slaves and prisoners of war for hundreds of years due to their belief that it would move the sun.[1]
