The Magicians' Court was an governing body that oversaw the regulation and enforcement of laws concerning Magic.
History[]
In its' past, Brakebills University once taught a course on Battle Magic until it was outlawed in 1979,[1] likely by the Magicians' Court. However, schools throughout Europe would still teach the subject, suggesting the Court's influence wasn't absolute throughout the magical community.[2]
Richard, an alumnus of Brakebills, had previous dealings with the Court.[2]
Emily Greenstreet believed that if Brakebills were exposed and regulated by the government, the students wouldn't be put in the kind of danger she faced by wielding powers they couldn't control, as the Magicians' Court was unwilling to enforce regulations on the school's curriculum.[3]
