Pompeii was an ancient Roman town-city which was destroyed during the Harmonic Convergence.

In AD 79, the occurrence of the Harmonic Convergence caused the spells performed in the city to be magnified beyond control, causing the city's destruction as a massive volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried the city in ash.[1]
