In 2018, Roman participated in a game of Push in New York City, where he played against Quentin Coldwater for the prize of a Dewey. During the game, Roman caused one of Coldwater's cards to stand on its end due to both Magicians manipulating the probability fields in the room, surprising them both. Roman lost the game, however, and gave up his magical cufflinks, warning Coldwater to be cautious with them.[1]

Wellspring Magic Manipulation: Roman is able to shape and manipulate the energy of the Wellspring to cast spells by writing specific formations with his hands, conjuring phosphorescent constructs of energy.
- Probability Manipulation: Roman is able to manipulate probability fields to make events more likely to occur or not. During a game of Push, Roman was able to cause a card to stand on its end, surprising both players.
