Eliot Waugh and Margo Hanson previously visited the bar and created a portal to reach the bar from the Physical Kids' Cottage. While investigating a way to travel to Fillory, Quentin Coldwater learned that Jane Chatwin received a magical button from a Questing Creature that would allow a person to visit Fillory free of Ember and Umber's control.
While discussing travel plans to England, Coldwater and Alice Quinn were overheard by Eliot Waugh, who added himself to their investigation and offered to show the two the portal to England if he could come.[1]
