This spell was found by Julia Wicker on the Internet and is the first spell she cast successfully.[2] She performed this spell for Quentin Coldwater to convince him to get Brakebills to retest her.[3]

Later, in Timeline 40, Julia used this spell in self defense when she was attacked by Pete in a bar bathroom. He had intentionally tried to scare her in order to strengthen her magic.[4]
